Siemens EM was seeking to increase efficiency and collaboration by consolidating its nearby Fort Worth operations onto its site in Grand Prairie. The Grand Prairie site is situated on 17 acres strategically adjacent to Highway 360 and 15 minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) airport.
The 50,000 sf. expansion is a mixed-use facility containing offices, testing labs, circuit breaker production lines, and warehouse operation. Prior to the project, parking was an issue along with site safety due to the routing of delivery trucks. The project added (84) parking spots and a new driveway coming off of Highway 360. The new driveway streamlined delivery operations and made it safer for site employees by separating tractor-trailer traffic from employee traffic.
The expansion of the facility created positive results for EM as collaboration and efficiency increased with the symbiotic operations being co-located for the first time in over 20 years.
